4 Classes per Month: 19,000 yen
Tuition fees must be paid in cash for the following month by your final lesson date of the current month.
Class Make-up (Rescheduling) Policy
To maintain the quality of instruction, we strictly limit the number of participants in each class. We kindly ask for your cooperation in adjusting your schedule so that you can attend your registered fixed class as much as possible.
【For New Members: Make-up Class Regulations】
Attendance During the Hand-Building Curriculum Period
During the hand-building curriculum period (basic skill acquisition period) after enrollment, students are required, in principle, to attend their registered fixed class slot. This is to maximize the benefits of consistent instruction and our small-group system.
Eligibility for Make-up Classes
Upon completion of the curriculum (usually from the 6th month onward), you will be eligible to use the make-up class system for missed sessions.
【For Members Who Have Completed the Curriculum: Make-up Class Regulations】
• Expiration and Conditions for Make-up Classes
[Make-up class requests are accepted from the day after the missed class onward. *However, the make-up class cannot be taken in the same month as the missed class.]
If you are unable to attend a class due to personal circumstances, you can reschedule the class until the last day of the month 3 months after the missed month, counting the following month as the first month (e.g., a class missed in January can be made up until the end of April).
However, make-up classes will only be accepted when taken as a “3rd class” after all regular classes (2 classes) for that month have been fully completed.
• Prohibition of Re-rescheduling (Important)
During a month for which a make-up class has been booked, no new make-up rights (re-rescheduling) will be generated even if you miss a regular class in that month. Please be very careful with your schedule management.
• Notice Deadline
Please contact us by 6:00 PM the night before the lesson date. Any notification received after this time will be treated as an absence, and the right to a make-up class will be forfeited.
• Rescheduling for Weekend Classes
Weekend classes are currently completely full and are highly valuable slots. While it is possible to reschedule a weekend class to a weekday class, there are many cases where we cannot provide make-up slots within the weekend. Please understand that this regulation is in place to secure your “fixed weekend slot.”
• Important Notes
• Make-up classes cannot be taken after the expiration date.
• To maintain fairness, no exceptional arrangements (special cases) will be accepted under any circumstances.
• Regular class members are given priority. Therefore, we cannot guarantee your choice of method (hand-building or electric pottery wheel) during a make-up class.
• The standard class capacity is 7 people. However, 1 make-up slot for the electric pottery wheel will be accepted if available.
Leave of Absence and Withdrawal Policy
【If you wish to take a leave of absence: Please inform us by your final regular class date of the preceding month】
You may take a leave of absence for free only once per year (January to December). (However, this is limited to the first 2 members per month on a first-come, first-served basis.)
From the second time onward, the monthly tuition fee will still be charged even for the month you are absent, as your seat is being reserved. Please note that you cannot transition directly from a leave of absence to withdrawal from the studio.
【If you wish to withdraw from the studio: Please inform us as early as possible so that you can finish the pieces currently in production】
[Procedure]
Please save the final session of your withdrawal month for “glazing” and visit the studio at a later date. Please pay the firing fee after glazing.
If you cannot come for glazing due to personal circumstances, the pieces will be handed over as bisque-fired ware.
We will contact you once the firing is complete. Please come to pick them up within 2 months of notification. Please note that pieces and tools left past the deadline will be disposed of by the studio due to limited storage space.
General Rules
Our studio operates on a system where a single instructor guides multiple students simultaneously. For safety management purposes, our classes are designed for those who can understand the instructor’s guidance and independently engage in pottery-making activities, including the safe handling of tools.
Eating and drinking are prohibited in the studio in principle. Drinks are allowed, but please take your plastic bottles home with you.
Please take responsibility for cleaning the area and tools you used so that they are clean for the next person before you leave the room.
Pieces created in the studio may be introduced as member works on Instagram, our website, etc. If you do not wish to have your work featured, please let us know each time.
In the event of disruptive behavior, you may be asked to withdraw from the studio.
Please manage your valuables yourself. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any loss or theft.
Safety Management and Disclaimer
To ensure that everyone can enjoy pottery making with peace of mind, we ask for your understanding and cooperation regarding the following points.
• Consideration for Safety
The studio accepts no responsibility for accidents, injuries, or trouble between customers that occur inside the classroom or during the commute. In particular, the area around the kiln becomes extremely hot while it is operating. Please be very careful not to touch the kiln during operation as there is a risk of burns.
• Response to Injuries, etc.
The studio accepts no responsibility for accidental injuries that occur in the classroom, such as cuts from handling tools or broken pieces. In the unlikely event of an injury, we ask that you respond promptly by seeking medical attention at a medical institution on your own.
Please enroll and attend classes with the understanding that we cannot be held responsible for any such troubles in order to maintain a safe and secure studio operation.
• Response at the Time of Business Closure
In the unlikely event that it becomes difficult to continue the studio due to various circumstances, the enrollment fee already paid and the tuition fees (monthly fees) for classes already taken cannot be refunded. Thank you for your understanding in advance.
• Revision of Terms and Systems
To ensure better studio operation, these terms and the lesson system may be changed or revised as necessary at any time. We will notify you in advance in the event of changes, but the latest version of the terms will always apply.
